Street Tacos - Taco Town Catering

It’s no secret that tacos are one of my all-time favorite foods. There’s something about those authentic Mexican flavors that I love, especially when the right meats and spices are involved. So, it’s always exciting when I come across a new taco food truck. This week, I’m talking about Taco Town Catering.

Taco Town Catering is a Mexican food truck based out of my hometown in the Lehigh Valley. I first discovered them at a launch party hosted by Keystone North Church in Harleysville a few weeks ago. The line was pretty long when I arrived, which told me I wasn’t the only one eager to try this food truck. As I browsed their menu, I knew I had to try their Street Tacos. The only tough decision was which meat to choose. I decided on their steak, as it was a taco filling I hadn’t had in a while. Despite the crowd, the team at this food truck worked very efficiently, and before I knew it, I had my tacos and was ready to dig in.

The Street Tacos came with three tacos filled with savory steak, melted cheese, lettuce, and tomatoes. Each taco was wrapped in two soft tortillas, a technique I’ve noticed at many food trucks. On the side were sliced cucumbers, lime wedges, and a small container of spicy green salsa. Before eating, I squeezed the lime wedges over the top of each taco to add that tangy lime flavor I’ve come to love. The steak was tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned with authentic Mexican spices. Melted cheese is a must on any taco, and these had just the right amount. The cucumbers were an unexpected hit, as I’ve never put them on tacos before, but they paired well with the lettuce and tomatoes. What really stood out, though, was that spicy green salsa—it certainly packed a punch! I’m not sure what kind of salsa it was, but it was delicious and brought the heat!

There’s nothing quite like good tacos, and Taco Town Catering more than delivers. While this truck is primarily based out of the Lehigh Valley, you’ll find them at different catering events throughout the area. If you’re interested in learning more, be sure to check them out on Instagram to see where you can find them next.
