Mr. Burger - Mr. Burgers

There is nothing like a good old-fashioned cheeseburger. For as long as I can remember, cheeseburgers have been an easy go-to for me anytime I visit a restaurant. I still tend to choose a cheeseburger over a steak or seafood option when I’m at a fancy restaurant. Sometimes, it’s just what I want. This week’s post is all about cheeseburgers, and what better place to start than Mr. Burgers.

If it wasn’t obvious from the name, Mr. Burgers is a food truck that specializes in cheeseburgers. I first heard about this truck back in June and ever since then, it’s been on my radar. Last week, the truck was at Ten7 Brewing Company in North Wales, a place that I’m starting to frequent weekly at this point. When I arrived, the truck was already busy, indicating its popularity. The menu had plenty of intriguing burgers to choose from, every one of them made from 100% premium Angus beef. I noticed a burger on the menu called “Mr. Burger,” named after the truck. It looked like a great choice, and I figured it was a good place to start for a first-time customer. Despite the crowds and the heat, the workers were quick in both taking orders and getting them out to customers. I think I waited somewhere between 10-15 minutes for my food, which is nothing given the crowd.

The Mr. Burger features a 100% Angus beef patty topped with cheddar cheese, bacon, fried onions, pickles, ketchup, and mustard, accompanied by a generous portion of crispy French fries. The burger itself is massive and is full of tender and juicy flavors. You can tell these workers are passionate about their ingredients after just one bite. I think cheddar cheese is my favorite when it comes to cheeseburgers, and this burger is no exception. Both the bacon and fried onions are super crispy, adding an additional “crunch” to each bite. The fried onions reminded me of a bloomin’ onion, which is one of my favorite side dishes. The pickles came attached to a wooden skewer, and they were massive. Pickles are a must for any cheeseburger, and these were both fresh and crunchy. And don’t let me forget about the bun. Not only was the bun big enough to hold everything together, but it was also slightly charred on the edges, adding a slightly toasty exterior while allowing it to retain its softness.

While the burger is certainly the highlight, the French fries were just as good. These were freshly made in the truck with a little bit of seasoning cooked in. Pair them with some ketchup, and the fries are everything you could ask for to complete your cheeseburger experience. French fries are the perfect side for any cheeseburger, and I love how this truck serves them with every cheeseburger. I love being able to order a cheeseburger knowing that I’m getting fries on the side without an additional cost.

Mr. Burgers is a great food truck for anyone looking for a classic cheeseburger and fries. I believe this truck is relatively new, so if you haven’t seen them yet, I’m sure you will soon enough. You’ll find Mr. Burgers at plenty of breweries and outdoor events this summer, so be sure to check them out on Instagram if you’re interested in learning more.
